Paymaster Northwest was started by Lotus Conser in 1955. After, 10 years of service Paymaster Corporation authorized Lotus to become the authorized distributor of Paymaster Check Protection Equipment for the NW Oregon, Washington, Idaho, & Alaska. In 1994 Paymaster Northwest bought their competitor distributorship of Hedman Products and became the authorized dealer for Hedman.
In 1999 Lotus sold both distributorships to Steve McCathern. Steve has been with Paymaster Northwest since 1983 as a sales and service manager.

Paymaster Northwest continues to be the leader of Check Writing and Check Signing Equipment in the industry.
